Cleo came in last Thursday but was quite determined to keep her damaged tail & escaped the cat carrier in a flash
She got her sedative shot whilst up in the blinds & was then prepared for surgery.

The not so lekker parts of caring for a colony… it’s not just about feeding them but to make sure they sterilised, monitor for newbies, seek medical attention and take care of them. I walked into this situation ~ Cleo with an injured tail. No idea what happened, looks like it happened few days prior. She seemed okay, eating but skittish. She usually comes running to be picked up. Poor girl must be traumatised.

I put on some natural barrier spray to avoid infection. The awesome ladies at Feral Cat Project Cape Town will be helping me – surgery is scheduled.
Please send positivity to Cleo.

Ps: next to Cleo is Stompi, I came across this colony because I spotted her near a canal in Woodstock CPT with half a tail. If only cats could talk.
